1. Controller and scope
This policy applies to the IT Release Sentinel application, published under the name Pazuluda. It covers use of the application, its monitoring, notification and advertising features and, when available, its purchase or subscription features.
The application allows users in particular to view information about software releases, security incidents and data breaches, manage preferences and a watchlist, and receive notifications.
2. Data that may be processed
2.1 Technical data
When communicating with the infrastructure, certain technical information may be processed: IP address, request date and time, application version, Android version, device type, diagnostic information, error logs, performance data and information required for security or abuse prevention.
2.2 Preferences and watchlist
Language, theme, notification and advertising-privacy preferences, as well as certain watchlist items, may be stored locally on the device. Where applicable, sensitive local items use protection mechanisms available on Android, including Android Keystore.
2.3 Notifications
When notifications are enabled, the application may process a technical token supplied by Firebase Cloud Messaging, followed categories and the preferences required to send requested notifications. This token is not a password.
2.4 Advertising and consent
The free version may use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display native advertisements. Depending on applicable regulations, configuration and user choices, Google may process advertising or device identifiers, the IP address, interactions with the application and advertisements, as well as diagnostic, measurement, security and fraud-prevention data.
Google User Messaging Platform may be used to collect and manage consent choices. Advertisements are requested only when the applicable technical and consent requirements are satisfied.
2.5 Purchases and subscriptions
Any payments are processed by Google Play. The application does not receive complete payment-card details. It may nevertheless process the technical information required to verify a purchase, activate an entitlement, restore a purchase and prevent fraud.
2.6 External content and links
The application may display links to external sources. Visiting those links is subject to the privacy policies of the websites and services concerned.
3. Purposes
Data is processed only where necessary to:
- provide application features and load content;
- remember preferences and the watchlist;
- send enabled notifications;
- display, secure and measure advertisements according to applicable choices;
- manage or restore purchases and subscriptions;
- diagnose errors and improve reliability;
- protect the service against abuse, fraud and unauthorized access;
- respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers and recipients
The following services may be involved depending on the features used:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK: advertising, measurement and fraud prevention;
- Google User Messaging Platform: consent and privacy choices;
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: notification delivery;
- Google Play Billing: purchases and subscriptions;
- Cloudflare: network, security, hosting or infrastructure services used by the application and this page.
The publisher does not sell users' personal data. Information may be disclosed to authorities or legally authorized third parties when required by law.
5. Legal bases and choices
Depending on the processing activity, the legal basis may be performance of the requested service, consent, a legitimate interest relating to security and diagnostics, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Users may change advertising choices when the corresponding interface is available, disable notifications in the application or Android, and delete local data by clearing the application's data or uninstalling it.
6. Retention
Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described. Local preferences remain on the device until they are changed, cleared or the application is uninstalled. Notification tokens are retained for as long as required to send requested notifications and are then deleted or made unusable when they expire. Technical and security logs are time-limited and are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer required.
7. Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect data: HTTPS/TLS communications, access restrictions, protection of local storage where applicable, limited logging and abuse-prevention mechanisms. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process data in different countries. Such processing is governed by their terms, protection mechanisms and safeguards required by applicable law.
9. User rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR in the European Economic Area, users may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent.
A request should provide enough information to identify the relevant data or processing activity without unnecessarily transmitting sensitive information.
10. Children
IT Release Sentinel is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. Target-audience settings and obligations relating to minors are applied in accordance with platform rules and applicable laws.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the application, its service providers, legal requirements or platform rules. The date shown at the top of the page will then be updated.
